THE BRIEF:

Lead the production and delivery of the Culture Mile Summer Series at Citypoint. A 12-event programme designed to bring the space to life through live music, creative workshops and cultural experiences. Create a varied programme across lunchtime and evening events that encouraged people to spend time in the space and engage with the wider Culture Mile programme.

MY ROLE:

Led production across all 12 event dates, managing the project from pre-production through to onsite delivery. Solely managed the £50,000 event budget, tracking spend across the full series and balancing creative ambition with available budget.

Managed artists, suppliers and workshop facilitators alongside schedules, technical requirements, staffing and site logistics. Produced creative activations within the space, including a community book exchange, interactive workshops and other engagement-led experiences designed to encourage participation beyond the live programme.

Acted as the key onsite point of contact throughout the series, managing live delivery and adapting plans in real time where needed. Also oversaw audience feedback and data collection, capturing where visitors had travelled from, what had brought them to the area and how they were engaging with the programme.

THE OUTCOME:

Successfully delivered all 12 events across the summer, creating a varied programme of live music, workshops and creative activations at Citypoint.

Managed the £50,000 budget across the full series while maintaining a consistent standard of production and programming.

The series created new opportunities for people to engage with the space beyond their usual day-to-day use. Audience feedback also provided the client with valuable insight into who was visiting, where they had come from and what had drawn them to the area. This helped demonstrate the impact of the programme beyond attendance figures alone.
